This location isn’t ideal in the winter, but the snow melts over the warmer months, creating the stunning waterfall effect over the cliff face, which is just about as romantic as you can get!
After exploring the massive Schist rocks with the waterfalls and glacier snow in the background, we hopped back in the heli fly to Big Geordie, which is one of our fave Heli spots year round! It’s an amazing location because not only is Lake Wakatipu sparkling in the background, but you can also enjoy looking over Pigeon and Pig Islands, which really elevates the already magnificent view.
