The breathtaking beauty of the landscapes, incredible wildlife with the fusion of the Maasai culture, I can never get enough of it.

It’s hard to believe that I have planned so many weddings in the last 10 years, every wedding feels like it’s the first. I am a talented luxury wedding planner and event designer, with certification from Weddings Beautiful Worldwide (USA). I am all about making your planning process easy and making all those moving parts fall into place as if by magic while having loads of fun.

I love, and literally get goosebumps that moment the bride walks down the aisle/ 1st look when they see each other for the 1st time. I live for those love stories and enjoy creatively bringing them to life.

Your Kenya Safari Wedding Package - Itinerary

Upon your arrival in Nairobi, transfer to the safari lodge with a local flight/road. Depending on your arrival time at the lodge, you can have an afternoon game drive.

4:00 am – Hot air balloon ride followed by a bush breakfast – photography before and after the hot air balloon ride
2:00 pm – Bridal prep with photography
3:00 pm – Depart for the ceremony space. Your Kenya Safari Wedding Elopement duration could vary if incorporating a Maasai duration by an extra 30 minutes
4:00 pm – Afternoon game drive for the newlyweds with sunset photography
6:00 pm – Romantic dinner for 2 at the lodge

Your Kenya Safari Wedding - Comments

Your All-inclusive Kenya Safari Wedding is carried out under all weather condition, even if it rains. We can adjust the timeline as you wish to have a longer stay at the lodge (at your own cost)

There is a possibility to get legally married on your Kenya Safari Wedding
You can legally get married in this experience. The required documentation required for the filing of the paperwork are:

  • Copies of valid Passports
  • Copies of Birth Certificate (ENSURE THAT THE NAMES APPEARING ON THE BIRTH CERTIFICATE AND NATIONAL IDENTITY CARD/ PASSPORT ARE PROPERLY ALIGNED- NAMES SHOULD BE THE SAME AND APPEAR IN THE CORRECT ORDER)
  • Colored passport-size photo – one for each Applicant
  • Air ticket and visa or work permit for those working in the country
    Proof of no other existing marriage through:
  • Submit sworn affidavit to state marital status (swear separate affidavits if not married or joint affidavit if married under customary law);
  • Copy of Death Certificate (if widow or widower);
  • Copy of Divorce Decree Absolute (If the partner had been married before and divorced);
  • A sworn affidavit to confirm marital status in the event that the Divorce Decree or Death Certificate is more than 2 years old.

All these copies are to be sent to us at least 14 days before the wedding, and the couple is to be in Kenya at least 7 days before the wedding. We file the paperwork for you, and on arrival in Kenya, we schedule an appointment interview to present the original documents to the registrar of marriages, who then issue a special marriage license that allows you to marry in the Maasai Mara.

Your Kenya Safari Wedding - Packlist

  • For legal Kenya Safari Wedding, all your documents must be translated to English, if they are in another language.
  • Have your rings and vows for the symbolic ceremony. If you opt to incorporate a Maasai blessing into your ceremony, we will send you a brief guide to expect. The Maasai ceremony takes about 20 mins, where the elders perform a blessing over the couple. You can choose to change outfits for the ceremony if you would like.
  • Have your favorite playlist for the ceremony and reception dinner that will be played for your celebration.

Your Kenya Safari Wedding - Tips & Infos

  • On your Kenya Safari Wedding Elopement, you will be traveling from Nairobi to Maasai Mara. Local flights land in various airstrips in Maasai Mara.
  • Carry warm clothing as evenings can get a bit chilly, and comfortable light wear for the day. For very early morning game drives/ hot air balloon excursions, the lodge offers a warm Maasai shuka (Blanket). Good comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
  • You would need to pack enough sunscreen and insect repellant for while outside the lodge for various activities.

Your Kenya Safari Wedding Package - Addons

  • Guests (up to 2 people) can come on your Kenya Safari Wedding Elopement with a 215 USD extra fee – they can take part in the ceremony and get to be photographed
  • Maasai Musician – Maasai warriors offering their traditional dances and music – 150 USD
  • Guest Hair & Make-up – 200 USD/Per Person
  • Videography – 5 hours coverage – short cinematic film (5 -10 mins) and extended cinematic film as a link sent to the couple. – 800 USD
  • Additional Photography – 300 USD/Per Hour
  • Maasai blessing  – The elders of the Maasai tribe perform a wedding blessing on the couple. It involves decorating the couple with Maasai jewelry – 300 USD
  • Legal paperwork processing & officiant  – 480 USD
