Elope to Nova Scotia - Tipps & Infos
When you elope to Nova Scotia, come prepared with a comfortable hiking backpack filled with snacks, change of shoes, rain gear, water, toilet paper, and possibly bear spray. Hiking boots are recommended for the adventure portion of your Cape Breton Island Adventure Wedding. A car will be necessary to arrive at the meeting point and for the duration of the day, as there is no public transit or shuttles available. Bathing suits may be a desired bring-along.
The nearest airport is Sydney, Nova Scotia, though most international flights arrive in Halifax, Nova Scotia, which is a 4-5 hour drive from the Cape Breton Highlands. Bathrooms are limited, so toilet paper is handy. Ensure you are able to hike uphill/up steep inclines.
