3pm Check in to the Banff gondola terminal and enjoy the ride.
The Banff Gondola track is approximately 1 mile long and takes approx. 8 minutes one way.
3:30pm Disembark and explore the Above Banff Interactive Interpretive Center for a while, while you calm yourself and collect your nerves! It has a wealth of interesting things to learn about the wildlife, geology and history of the area.
When you’re ready, head outside to gawk at the views from the Sulphur Mountain Boardwalk. We will have pre-arranged with you the best spot for your Banff proposal and will be ready on-site for your arrival.
4pm THE BIG QUESTION! Go for it! We’ll be clicking away, capturing it all. Your partner won’t even realize we are there during your Banff proposal!

In case of Lightning storms, Road closures, there is a possibility to reschedule the experience by +-2 days, under the condition that there is availability and your Banff proposal photographer is notified in due time.
The Banff gondola runs all year and the views from the summit are spectacular in every season. Often there are special events that can be enjoyed as part of your gondola experience. In the summer there may be live music for your entertainment, in the winter there are often light shows to delight your senses.
The gondola station is home to the Sky Bistro Fine dining restaurant. It has walls of glass and amazing views. You can end your day with a fabulous 3-course meal.
The Banff Sulphur Mountain Hot Springs are within a short walk from the gondola terminal. You will need a bathing suit and towel should you want to enjoy the springs.

Getting to Banff:
The nearest international airport is in Calgary, AB, Canada (YYC). It is 138 km (85 miles) and takes approx. 75-90 min by car. Car rentals are available at the airport as well as airport shuttles that connect to Canmore, Banff and Lake Louise areas.
Where to stay before your Banff proposal?
Most visitors stay in the Canmore, Banff or Lake Louise area.
Here are the distances and approx. travel times by car from Calgary:
Canmore, 104 km, 70 min.
Banff, 128 km, 90min.
Lake Louise, 182 km, 2 hrs.
Buses run daily and often between Lake Louise, Banff, Canmore and Calgary.
Is transportation to our activity included?
As this is a surprise for your partner, transportation is not included. If you don’t want your proposal to be a surprise, we are happy to pick you up and drop you off at your hotel.
Clothing
During any season it is important to have warm clothes as the temperature can change rapidly. Comfortable shoes are a must. You can change into fancy shoes once on location.
During your Banff proposal photoshoot, we will aim to keep you warm and comfortable. You will be moving in and out of your jackets and /or the gondola station as necessary during the shoot.
The gondola station is comfortable and warm with lots of space to relax should you get cold or the weather turns bad. It is easily accessed from anywhere on the mountain top.
