Your Elopement in Sicily - Comments
If the weather conditions make it dangerous to proceed with parts of your Taormina wedding, the itinerary might be adjusted.
I recommend renting a car for flexibility, but private transfers can be arranged. Our main meeting points are in Taormina or Mount Etna, depending on your chosen itinerary for your elopement in Sicily.

Nulla Osta – A Certificate of No Impediment from your home country’s embassy, confirming you are free to marry. The embassy or consulate will require your birth certificate, passport, and possibly additional paperwork.
Divorce Decree or Death Certificate (if applicable) – Certified copy if previously married.
Translation of Documents – All documents must be translated into Italian.
Marriage Application – Apply at the local town hall (Comune) or where you wish to marry at least 2-3 days before your elopement in Sicily.
Ceremony – Your Taormina wedding ceremony must take place at a public office, such as a town hall, but it can also be performed at certain approved locations, such as your accommodation or a venue, if allowed by local authorities.
Witnesses – Two witnesses over 18 are needed, who must have valid IDs.

The two main international airports are Catania Fontanarossa (CTA), which is closest to Taormina and Mount Etna (45-60 min drive), and Palermo Falcone-Borsellino (PMO), which is best for western Sicily (3-hour drive to Taormina).
Taormina – If staying in town, everything is walkable, but a driver may be needed for off-site locations.
Mount Etna – Requires a drive; I can provide a private driver during your Taormina wedding if needed.
