Choose the style of a Canoe Wedding ceremony: Religious or Civil.
At the ceremony
Make sure all the requirements for a ceremony are followed.
After the ceremony:
The person who performs the marriage ceremony for your Jasper Elopement keeps the Marriage Licence portion of the Registration of Marriage/Marriage Licence form.
The person who performs the marriage sends the Registration of Marriage portion of the Registration of Marriage/Marriage Licence form to Vital Statistics within 48 hours of the ceremony for registration.
The Registration of Marriage is a legal document. It becomes the official record of marriage and is permanently archived with Alberta Vital Statistics.

Your Canoe Wedding - Tips & Infos
Getting to Jasper National Park:
Sundog Tours can pick you up at the Calgary airport and bring you to Jasper via Banff and the spectacular Icefields Parkway. Or, they can pick you up at the Edmonton airport and bring you to Jasper via Highway 16. Here are Sundog Tours schedules and reservations.
There is the option to rent a vehicle at either airport and drive yourself to the national park
Where to Stay:
The easiest location for your Canoe Wedding in Alberta is Pyramid Lake Lodge. It is best to book it ASAP to avoid disappointment
Weather:
The weather in the mountains is always changing! You can expect rain and/ or snow during your Jasper Elopement! The warm season lasts from June to early Oct. with an average daily high temperature above 60F and into the 30s at night.
Despite it being summer, we suggest bringing hats, gloves and warm jackets for your Canoe Wedding. The temperature drops quickly once the sun goes down, and the wind on the lake can be chilly! Hiking boots or comfortable shoes are a must. You can change into dress shoes once on location. The trails around the lake are smooth and well-maintained.
