Meet your Rome Elopement Photographer
Hello, I’m Rita.
It’s such a pleasure to meet you!
This is not about me capturing your Elopement in Rome, this is about you living and enjoying it from the first second to the very last one and at its fullest! Tell me all about how you imagine and plan it! How can we make it memorable?
Capturing your Love at each step of your story is important and amazing, especially when it comes to a day as special as your wedding day because it is your legacy.
Years and years from now you will be looking back at those photos and in my deep hope, they will bring back memories and transport you to that specific moment in time with those same feelings and goosebumps.
I have been doing elopement and wedding photography for 6 years now, and honestly, every single event brings warmth to my heart and leaves a piece of yours’ inside my soul. I look forward to smiling, laughing, and getting emotional with you on your Elopement in Rome, Italy.
Elope to Rome - Itinerary
Depending on whether you prefer a sunrise or a sunset for your Elopement in Rome, we’ll customize our time together accordingly. Either way, picture starting your elopement with a leisurely getting-ready session, maybe writing you vows, while I capture all the beautiful details of your dress, flowers, etc. Then, it’s off to the ceremony spot.
Whether you opt for a celebrant or not, following the first kiss as a married couple, we’ll embark on a couple’s session in carefully selected locations agreed upon beforehand.
For morning elopements, I highly recommend indulging in a delicious breakfast complete with cappuccino and cornetto at a charming café (here called “bar”) with some scenic views, and for sunset affairs, it’s aperitivo time, maybe in the Trastevere area, sipping drinks with a view of the Tiber river when you elope to Rome.
Elope to Rome - Comments
Your Elopement in Rome, City is carried out under all weather conditions even if it rains.
Considering your preferences, we can tailor your Elopement in Rome to be more “classic,” more “architecture-focused,” or infused with “relaxing green vibes.” But why settle for just one when you can have a bit of everything? My best advice?
Elope to Rome and embrace a blend of all these elements! I’m here to provide suggestions for each style, so don’t hesitate to ask. It’s all about creating your dream experience!
LGBTQ friendly: Even though LGBTQIA+ weddings aren’t legally recognized in Italy (civil unions are, though they are not equivalent to marriage) the country is quite accepting of LGBTQ communities. In fact, most people won’t make any remarks. If they do, it’s usually just to offer their congratulations with a heartfelt “Auguri!”
Pollen allergy might be a thing to keep in mind in spring.
Legal marriage in Rome is possible, but there are a few considerations to keep in mind:
It tends to be more expensive than opting for a symbolic ceremony, as municipality fees alone can exceed 1000€ just for the ceremony.
There’s a significant amount of paperwork involved, including potential translations and legalizations, depending on your country of residence.
Only two locations in Rome allow for legal marriages, and they may not necessarily offer the most picturesque settings.
Time slots for ceremonies are often in the worst hours of day photography-wise: see midday or when the sun is too harsh.
You’ll need two witnesses and a translator present if you don’t speak Italian.
If you’re set on making it legal during your Elopement in Rome, many planners specialize in navigating these requirements and can assist you in obtaining all the necessary documents.

Elope to Rome - Packlist
Here’s the ideal packing list when you elope to Rome:
An ID. Especially if it’s a legal marriage.
Attire: Dress, shoes, suit, accessories, and any other essentials you may need.
Rings : Consider bringing a nice ring box for a touch of added elegance.
Vow books or a beautiful notebook: Something special to write your vows in. While iPhones are handy, they don’t quite look cool in photos.
A pair of comfortable shoes: Rome’s cobblestone streets aren’t the most heel-friendly, so I highly recommend either chunky heels or comfortable shoes for your Elopement in Rome.

Second, secure the necessary legal documentation if you’re planning a legal ceremony.
For ease of travel, Fiumicino (FCO) is the most convenient airport. There are trains available to transport you into the city, which are both cost-effective and speedy compared to taxis. The quickest way is the Leonardo Express (18€) that does not do stops from Fiumicino to Rome Termini.
