About the Host
Hi, I am Zsuzsa, you can call me Susana.
I am from Hungary and now I divide my life between Mallorca and my homecountry.
I am a photographer and visual artist for 10 years by now. I am also  a tour guide in Budapest so showing my city’s hidden gem is my big passion.
I love taking photos of love and life. Of couples in love, families, children or just one person enjoying the beach, and their glorious body. I love being part of wedding and creating memories for a lifetime. I love the joy of co-creation of photos. My photos would be nothing without the subjects, without their emotions and without the beautiful backdrops. Photography is a celebration of life, that is why it is my big passion.
I speak English, German, Hungarian, Spanish, Italian and French.
When I do not take photos, I like to move my body, dance, do arts and enjoy life. A big fan of yoga and pranayama and all kinds of sports and movements. I am also a firedancer and juggler. Movement and dancing complements my photography activity just perfectly.
Itinerary of your Budapest city elopement & honeymoon
DAY 1. CiTY ELOPEMENT
I pick you up in Budapest at an agreed spot, airport or train station, depends where you arrive.
I take you to your accommodation, where you can settle in.
Then off we go to discover the city by foot, or even bike. Budapest has lovely old trams, and everything is also easily reached by foot. Majestic golden era buildings, bookshops, cafes and restaurants everywhere, it is a delight. We discover the centre and have a city adventure wedding photoshoot on the go. We can stop for a snack, lunch or just a coffee, whatever you feel like. We cross one of the epic bridges and make our way up to Gellert Hill, the most spiritual place in Budapest, also with the nicest panorama.
We will have a sunset wedding ceremony here, amidst nature. You will utter your wedding vows overlooking the Danube river and the amazing World Unesco Heritage panorama.
Done with that, we can go to celebrate your wedding night in the famous Budapest nightlife, hundreds of artsy, bohemian ruin bars to chose from. Enjoy how everyone is happy for your marriage. If you feel more like staying just the two of you, I can suggest you a good restaurant or you can just enjoy a lazy romantic stroll back to your hotel.
DAY 2. HONEYMOON IN BUDAPEST
I meet you at midday and we go to the City Park to enjoy a picnic lunch there, and we do some more sightseeing on the way. And then we go to the Szechenyi Spa, one of Europe’s largest and most beautiful thermal spas. Hungary has tons of thermal baths, it is part of our daily culture. Just relax into it, let your body heal, be in your loved ones’ arms in the outdoor swimming pools, enjoy the sunshine, discover the amazing inner rooms and secret pools. You can even get a relaxing massage if you feel like it.
After the Spa, usually we get really hungry, so after a romantic drive in Budapest along its boulevard, we arrive to our romantic dinner place. A private flat where your chef will not only cook for you, but actually teach you how to cook a Goulash soup. Prepare for your married life with this wonderful cooking class. We serve you a high-quality Hungarian wine and of course, we will also give a taste of one of our amazing sweets.
Enjoy your romantic candlelit private honeymoon dinner.
DAY 3. HONEYMOON IN BUDAPEST
Enjoy your lazy morning, go to a Museum maybe and extend your honeymoon in Budapest on request, it is a magical city to just let time pass and stroll around with. the love of your life.
Comments
This is just a sample itinerary that we can adjust or swap depending on your needs, and wishes. The schedule is very flexible and can be extended for extra days.
I can also help you with tips on accommodation and what to do in Budapest, it is a prefect city for a longer honeymoon 🙂
Comment on legal marriage: Good news, foreigners can get married in Hungary. Bad news, it is not that easy. It is best to initiate the process a few months in advance and after getting your documents and translating them, you need to travel here to register. The wedding can take place around 2 months after this. I can direct you to a service provider who can help you with this. Calculate a minimum of 1400 USD extra cost for this.
