We’ll adjust the itinerary to ensure you still have an amazing elopement. If rain is expected, we can rearrange activities, choose sheltered locations, or move indoors. Please note that the boat tour may be canceled for safety reasons. We’ll work closely with you to find the best solution.

Ceremony Venue

The vow exchange can take place in any public area of Taormina, such as the Giardini Comunali (Villa Comunale) or a scenic terrace, at no cost. The ceremony location can also be adjusted to fit your preferred setting, whether it’s a panoramic terrace, a secluded garden, or a beachfront spot.

Legal Marriage Information
There is a possibility to get legally married: I can assist you with the legal requirements for your Sicily elopement and ensure everything is arranged for a smooth process. I can connect you with trusted local wedding planners and officiants who specialise in legal ceremonies in Taormina. They handle all the necessary documentation, including the Nulla Osta for foreign nationals. This support is available as an extra service, at the cost shown in the list of extras. Getting married legally in Italy usually takes 2 to 4 months. This time includes submitting paperwork, obtaining necessary approvals, and scheduling the ceremony. If you are a foreign national, it may take longer because you need to translate and authenticate your documents. If you decide to elope in Sicily, note that the process isn’t very difficult, but it can be time-consuming and requires careful attention.
Required Documents:
For foreigners – Valid passports, birth certificates, and sometimes a Nulla Osta (an affidavit stating that you are free to marry, obtained from your embassy). These documents must be translated into Italian and legalized.
For locals, Italian citizens only need their identity card and a marriage request form submitted to the town hall.
Costs:
Civil ceremony fee: USD 1,400 - USD 1,900 payable directly to the Municipality of Taormina. The fee depends on the day of the week and the time of year, with weekends being more expensive. It also includes the officiant appointed by the municipality. The Municipality updates these fees from time to time, so the final amount is confirmed when you send your booking request. Translation and legalisation of documents – USD 150 to USD 350, depending on the number of documents and the service provider.
