This Lake Superior Elopement exclusive package features a 40-minute hike through breathtaking landscapes to a secluded beach, setting the stage for your intimate ceremony with panoramic views that inspire awe.

• Your Lake Superior Elopement adventure begins at 2:00 PM and concludes after a magical stargazing session, around 10:00 PM (weather permitting).

  Meet and greet: I’ll meet you at your lodging and start documenting your experience with a few getting ready photos.

• 2:30 PM

  First look: An intimate & memorable “reveal” once you’re both dressed.

• 3:30 PM

  Start the hike: We’ll drive to the trailhead and start our hike to the secret beach. This scenic journey along Lake Superior’s shoreline is perfect for sightseeing, photo ops, and soaking in the rugged beauty.

  Arrival at Ceremony Site: Arrive at the secluded beach where you’ll have some time to relax and take in the views before the ceremony.

• 5:00 PM

  Ceremony: Exchange your vows in an intimate Lake Superior Elopement ceremony framed by the stunning backdrop of Lake Superior and its surrounding landscapes.

• 5:30 PM

  Photos: Post-ceremony, we’ll capture your new beginning with a mix of creative and natural shots around the beach and shoreline.

• 6:00 PM

  Sunset Picnic: Enjoy a specially arranged picnic-style meal on the beach as the sun sets, offering gorgeous lighting for photos and a romantic setting for your first meal as a married couple.

• 7:00 PM

  Hike Back: Begin the hike back to our starting point, enjoying the changing colors of the evening sky.

• 8:00 PM

  Bonfire & First Dance: Back at our starting point, a cozy bonfire awaits where you can share your first dance under the stars.

• 9:00 PM

  Stargazing: As night falls, we’ll relax around the fire and stargaze (weather permitting). Copper Harbor’s dark skies offer a spectacular view of the Milky Way, and perhaps even the northern lights.

Secret Beach on Lake Superior: The main event location, offering privacy and spectacular natural beauty.
Lake Superior Shoreline: Known for its rugged cliffs and dramatic views, perfect for breathtaking photos.
Stargazing Spot: One of the best dark sky locations in the U.S., ideal for ending your day under the stars.

• Photographic Coverage: 8 hours of documentary photographic coverage by me, capturing your day from the hike to the Lake Superior Elopement ceremony, through the picnic, and concluding with the bonfire. I promise this does not feel like an all-day photoshoot! It's like having a friend hang out for the day who has a camera but isn't intrusive.
• Deliverables: A minimum of 350 high-resolution, professionally edited images delivered digitally.
• Delivery Time: Images will be delivered within 6 weeks after you elope in Michigan.
• Location: Exclusive access to a private beach and scenic hike along Lake Superior’s shoreline in Copper Harbor, MI.
• Meal: A romantic picnic-style meal on the beach after your Lake Superior Elopement ceremony, featuring local favorites. Includes 2 locally-made pasties (a must-have local cuisine), two chocolate cupcakes, and one bottle of bubbly for a toast and/or photos.
• Evening Activities: A bonfire setup for a cozy evening under the stars, including a first dance and stargazing opportunities.
• Ceremony: Assistance in planning and coordinating the Lake Superior Elopement details, your ceremony guided by me (I am ordained) and performed by you (I will help you plan this ahead of time). I can also provide 2 witnesses and fill out your paperwork, if you are being legally married.
• Adventure Activities: Elope in Michigan and enhance your experience with options like a guided kayak tour of Lake Superior, a private guided nature walk in an old-growth forest, a tour of an abandoned copper mine, or mountain biking on world-class trails. I will help you choose an activity and give you all the info you'll need to book it.

• Travel to/from Copper Harbor is not included.
• Your lodging is not included (recommendations will be provided).
• Travel insurance is not included when you elope in Michigan.
• Legal marriage documents and fees are not included (see the section on getting legally married).
