The hike to April Bowl is optional. With your Alaska Elopement Package, you can explore various beautiful spots in Hatcher Pass. depending on the day that you’re envisioning, there are options to add different locations. Summit Lake has stocked fish so if you’d like to go fishing, we can make that happen! If you’re feeling brave, you can also jump in for a swim.

Legal Ceremony Information
Couples must apply in person for an Alaska marriage license at a Bureau of Vital Statistics office. A valid government-issued photo ID (such as a passport or driver’s license) is required. Alaska has a mandatory 3-business-day waiting period between applying for the license and holding the ceremony. The license is valid for 90 days.
The current marriage license fee is approximately $60, paid directly to the State of Alaska. Certified copies of your marriage certificate (recommended for name changes or international use) are available for an additional fee, typically around $30 per copy.
