Yes. Foreigners can legally get married in the United States. Couples must follow the specific marriage laws of the state where the ceremony takes place, but overall, it’s straightforward for international couples to have a legal wedding in the U.S.You can ask the vendors about the documentation process and they can guide you.
Many of our US elopement packages are designed as all-inclusive experiences, combining photography, planning assistance, location expertise, and other services into one package. Some vendors also include officiants, florals, hair and makeup, videography, permit assistance, and additional planning support. Since every package is different, we recommend reviewing the package details to see exactly what is included and what can be customized for your elopement in the United States.
Yes. Most elopement packages in the US can be customized to match your vision, priorities, and budget. Depending on the vendor, you may be able to extend photography coverage, add videography, include florals or hair and makeup, adjust the timeline, upgrade locations, or add unique experiences. If you don't find the perfect package, you can also request a custom quote and receive tailored proposals from our vendor network across the United States.
This is one of the coolest parts of eloping in the US! In states like Colorado, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Washington D.C., you can legally marry yourselves without an officiant or judge present. You simply sign the paperwork yourselves. This allows for total privacy, just you two on a mountain peak or in a forest, exchanging vows without a third party interfering.
Yes, almost always. Most National Parks (like Yosemite, Zion, Redwoods, Joshua Tree, and Glacier) and State Parks require a Special Use Permit for wedding ceremonies, even for just the two of you. The vendor will guide you how to get a permit.
Cost: Permits range from $50 to $300+.
The US is huge, but here are the top regions we recommend:
The Southwest (Utah and Arizona): For red rocks, slot canyons, and desert vibes. Best in Sprin and Fall.
The Pacific Northwest (Washington/Oregon): For moody coasts, ferns, and waterfalls. Best in Spring and Summer .
California: For diversity, Big Sur cliffs, Redwoods, and Yosemite granite.
New York City: For iconic urban energy, City Hall weddings, and Brooklyn Bridge views.
It depends entirely on your landscape of choice:
Deserts (Joshua Tree, Moab): October–November or March–April. Avoid summer (temps can exceed 100°F/38°C).
Mountains (Colorado, Montana, Washington): July–September is best for hiking. Snow can close roads from October to June.
East Coast (New England, NYC): October is famous for "fall foliage" colors, while May and June offer perfect mild weather.
Yes, you can bring guests but with some limitations. Some packages allow for a small number of guests, and some even accommodate larger groups. You’ll find guest count details on each package page.
All of our U.S elopement packages include photography. Most offer a symbolic ceremony, local planning support, and help choosing locations. Many packages also offer extras like hair & makeup, floral design, officiants, and transportation. Each listing shows a clear detailed breakdown.
We recommend booking at least 3–6 months in advance to secure your preferred date, location, and local vendor, especially during busy travel seasons. However, if you’re flexible with timing and destination, last-minute elopements may still be possible, and some vendors can even accommodate bookings a few weeks out. Just keep in mind that for bookings made less than six weeks before the event date, the 21-day money-back policy does not apply.
Booking a US elopement package is simple: just browse the United States packages on our website, create a free account, and submit a date request on the package you love. Your request comes with no commitment and allows the local vendor to confirm availability. Once they do, you’ll have three days to secure your date by paying the 15% deposit. After the booking is confirmed, you’ll be connected directly with your vendor to plan the details, choose add-ons, and customize the experience to fit your vision.
