Can foreigners legally marry in the US?

Yes. Foreigners can legally get married in the United States. Couples must follow the specific marriage laws of the state where the ceremony takes place, but overall, it’s straightforward for international couples to have a legal wedding in the U.S.You can ask the vendors about the documentation process and they can guide you.

What are "Self-Solemnizing" states?

This is one of the coolest parts of eloping in the US! In states like Colorado, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Washington D.C., you can legally marry yourselves without an officiant or judge present. You simply sign the paperwork yourselves. This allows for total privacy, just you two on a mountain peak or in a forest, exchanging vows without a third party interfering.

Do we need a permit to elope in a National Park?

Yes, almost always. Most National Parks (like Yosemite, Zion, Redwoods, Joshua Tree, and Glacier) and State Parks require a Special Use Permit for wedding ceremonies, even for just the two of you. The vendor will guide you how to get a permit.

The US is huge, but here are the top regions we recommend:

The Southwest (Utah and Arizona): For red rocks, slot canyons, and desert vibes. Best in Sprin and Fall.

When is the best time to elope in the US?

It depends entirely on your landscape of choice:

Deserts (Joshua Tree, Moab): October–November or March–April. Avoid summer (temps can exceed 100°F/38°C).

Mountains (Colorado, Montana, Washington): July–September is best for hiking. Snow can close roads from October to June.

East Coast (New England, NYC): October is famous for "fall foliage" colors, while May and June offer perfect mild weather.



Can we bring guests?

Yes, you can bring guests but with some limitations. Some packages allow for a small number of guests, and some even accommodate larger groups. You’ll find guest count details on each package page.

All of our U.S elopement packages include photography. Most offer a symbolic ceremony, local planning support, and help choosing locations. Many packages also offer extras like hair & makeup, floral design, officiants, and transportation. Each listing shows a clear detailed breakdown.

How far in advance should we book?

We recommend booking at least 3–6 months in advance to secure your preferred date, location, and local vendor, especially during busy travel seasons. However, if you’re flexible with timing and destination, last-minute elopements may still be possible, and some vendors can even accommodate bookings a few weeks out. Just keep in mind that for bookings made less than six weeks before the event date, the 21-day money-back policy does not apply.
